Cost:

For UWA in house ran courses the fee for staff and students is $150 per person. A lower rate is available provided a four wheel drive is supplied and either 3 or 4 persons are trained at the same time. For further information contact Bill Wilson.

The Shawsett course incorporates the Unit of Competency TDTC2501A: Operate Four Wheel Drive Vehicle from the Transport and Distribution Training Package. Whilst 4 persons can be trained at the same time, it is suggested that 3 persons per course is preferred since this allows for a better practical driving experience.

Driver Awareness training is recommended for staff and students who are required to drive on gravel roads. This training is not provided in house at UWA. The Shawsett Driver Awareness Course is nationally recognised and incorporates the unit of competency TDTC197B Drive Vehicles from the Transport and Distribution Training Package.
