Our role is to develop and assist in the implementation of the UWA safety, health and wellbeing programs in order to minimise the risk of injury, illness and property damage.

We provide consultancy and other services to promote best practice and legislative compliance in all University and related activities.

Walking

Walking is a great way to start being physically active, or to add more activity into your day. Apart from improving your physical health, walking can help you save money, help the environment, improve your mental health and become more sociable. It’s also something people of all ages and fitness levels can do and something we can all do within our working day.

You might also like to start your own walking group in your area to help get your colleagues together for a healthy social activity everyone can join. Contact sarina.hilton@uwa.edu.au for tips and considerations when starting a walking group.
