Medical

Visiting a GP regularly for medical checks is an important component of looking after your health and wellbeing. General practitioners are trained to deal with a broad range of medical problems and are required to provide confidential medical care to patients. In many General Practices female and male doctors, as well as nursing staff, are available for consultation.

Some of the medical services a GP can provide you include:

  • blood pressure check
  • cholesterol level check
  • immunisation
  • treatment of illness and injury
  • blood test
  • sexual health check
  • travel advice and vaccination
  • pre-employment medical

The services provided by General Practices vary so it is important to find out before you make an appointment that the practice and/or specific doctor can provide the medical service you require.
