Proforma health and safety manual

Our role is to develop and assist in the implementation of the UWA health, safety and wellbeing programs in order to minimise the risk of injury, illness and property damage.

We provide consultancy and other services to promote best practice and legislative compliance in all University and related activities.

Proforma Health and Safety Manual is a proforma which includes guidance to assist in adapting it for use in specific workplaces. This guidance is located on the first page.

Where safety manuals and other equivalent procedures to which it refers are in use, they should be compared to confirm that they address, as a minimum, all generic safety guidance which applies across the University.

Adoption of newly prepared manual, endorsement of a local safety and health local policy statement and implementation of the UWA Safe System of Work initiated by the workplace Health and Safety Committee.

Whilst there is minor editing to be completed throughout, when tailoring the Health and Safety Manual for specific workplaces, the main editing is in Section 8 - Local Rules.
