School managers are cordially invited and Heads of Schools may also be interested in attending. The aim of this session is to provide a better understanding and appreciation of the audit process and the mechanics of a Safety & Health Management System. This would help schools in their preparation for the audits. Please RSVP by the preceding Friday to enable sufficient handout materials to be provided to all at this session.

Comcare Comcare has published a new guide to recognising psychological symptoms and intervening early to prevent them from becoming injuries. The guide contains advice for line managers and supervisors, case managers, and rehabilitation providers. It outlines the steps to take to recognise early warning signs; provide early support; develop and agree on a solution; and provide rehabilitation. It also lists early warning signs of psychological injuries, which include: not getting things done; erratic behaviour; complaints of lack of management support; unplanned absences; use of grievance procedures; complaints of not coping with workload; and fixation with fair treatment issues.
