Look@Life
Staff will be aware that they have a choice of accessing either
an external or an internal employee assistance program (EAP)
provider. Our external provider, the OSA Group, has an online
resource (Look@Life) which
contains straightforward, immediately accessible guidance on
workplace related and personal issues. There is an
extensive library of informative articles and self-help tools
developed by the OSA Group’s team of professional
psychologists. The library features a range of articles
dealing with day to day issues.
Articles on personal health, relationships, and general
wellbeing include:
• Addictive Behaviours - addictive behaviours,
including gambling and substance abuse
• Emotional Health - anxiety; depression; eating
disorders and grief
• Families and Relationships - parenting, childcare,
schooling, elder care, child abuse, domestic violence,
relationship breakdowns
• Health and Wellness - medical issues, exercise and
diet
Articles on all aspects of working life include:
• Interactions - workplace interaction: colleagues,
customers and more
• Productivity - workplace performance and productivity
• Wellbeing - maintaining your wellbeing in the
workplace
• Work-life Balance - balancing work pressures with
your personal life

click on log in, type uniwa in the User Name field and uniwa15 in

Safety and Health
Safety and Health farewelled Alana Wake, Radiation and Safety
Adviser since March 2007, who recently commenced employment at
the Health Department of Western Australia. The Radiation
and Safety Adviser position was advertised in The West Australian
on Saturday 19th January 2008 with applications closing on 5th
February 2008.
Administrative Assistant changes: Rebecca Joel
(University Library) has replaced Bonnie Knott who has
transferred to Building Services (Operations and Maintenance)
whilst Belinda Ireland is on secondment at OSDS.
University Safety Committee
The University Safety
Committee last met on 11th December 2007. The next meeting
is on Tuesday 12th February 2008. Approved minutes
from previous meetings are available from the Safety and Health
website.
