Defibrillator Guidelines

The University has a number of automated external defibrillators (AED's) at the following locations.

These AED's are provided for use by authorised UWA and UWA affiliate first aid trained and qualified personnel to assist in the resuscitation of staff, students, contractors and visitors as necessary.
All uses of the AED's must be reported to UWA Security and Parking (Ph.6488 3020) and UWA Safety and Health (Ph.6488 3938).

Safety and Health assist in arranging defibrillator training each year for personnel likely to be called upon to operate these AED's for the resuscitation of staff, students, contractors or visitors needing assistance.

There is a twice yearly maintenance and service contract on all defibrillators, or more often as required.
