There are many opportunities to be healthier in your work day. Some suggestions to optimise your breaks and meetings are provided.
Try these easy stretches to help mobilise your body.
Go for a quick walk to get some fresh air or to chat to a colleague you haven’t spoken to for a while.
Try a short meditation to help you relax and re-focus.
Why not try a walking meeting? Having a walking meeting is a great way for you and your colleagues to get more physical activity in your day. It works well for smaller numbers, less complex agendas and is a great way to energise the discussion.
Alternatively, have a standing meeting or adding in standing agenda items to reduce the time you spend sitting.
If you’re catering for a meeting or event, remember to provide some healthy options, provide water and serve smaller portions where possible.
For more information consult the healthy catering guidelines.
Got a spare 5 to 10 minutes in your team meeting? Why not take the opportunity to discuss wellbeing initiatives coming up on campus, or to discuss what ideas people have to enhance health and wellbeing locally?
