Assisting an injured person

Our role is to develop and assist in the implementation of the UWA safety, health and wellbeing programs in order to minimise the risk of injury, illness and property damage.

We provide consultancy and other services to promote best practice and legislative compliance in all University and related activities.

Follow these essential steps to ensure your own safety and to assist the injured person:

Ensure own safety.

Tend to the injured person.

Obtain first aid assistance.

Remain with the person until assistance arrives.

Inform injured person to submit an incident / injury report form.

If injuries require medical assistance then also call the above emergency assistance numbers.

Assist injured person to medical centre or hospital as required.

Be prepared to complete a witness report form should this be required.
